Making Videos That Make Money

Making Videos That Make Money

March 3, 2026

TLDR

  • Structure > Aesthetics: A beautiful video with no framework is just "throwing spaghetti at the wall." The world's biggest brands don't guess, they build videos in sections that can be tested and measured.
  • The 5 Step Framework:
    1. The Hook: You have 3 seconds to stop the scroll.
    2. The Problem: Speak your customer’s language (and their pain).
    3. The Solution: Be the guide, not the hero.
    4. Social Proof: Prove it works with results and testimonials.
    5. The CTA: Give them ONE clear instruction. A confused customer does nothing.
  • The Modular Advantage: By using modular videos, you can just swap out the parts of the video that aren't working, rather than reshooting or editing a whole new video.
  • The Bottom Line: This isn't just "content"; it’s a measurable business system. One shoot day creates 20+ assets designed to actually close deals (like $400k luxury suites).

Pretty Videos Are Losing You Money

Most business owners think a great video means a beautiful video. Cinematic shots. Perfect lighting. Clean transitions.

They love the video, post it on social media, and... crickets.

No calls booked. No DMs. No new clients.

Here's the truth: pretty doesn't pay. Structure does.

The Problem

When there's no framework behind your video, you're basically throwing spaghetti at the wall.

You don't know if the hook was the problem. You don't know why people dropped off before the offer. You don't know what to fix. So you just shoot another video and hope for the best.

That's expensive, slow and it doesn't scale.

The biggest brands in the world aren't guessing every time they post. They test, measure, analyze, and swap out the parts that aren't working.

You can do that too, but only if your video is built in modular pieces.

The Framework

At Good Post House, most of the videos we make follow a simple 5 step framework:

  1. Hook: You have less than 3 seconds to capture the viewers attention and get them to stick around. If you don't nail this part, the rest doesn't really matter anyways.
  2. Problem: Call out the exact pain your viewer is feeling. Say it in their language, using their own words to describe it.
  3. Solution: Show them how you or your product solves that problem. It's a subtle difference, but be their guide, showing them the benefits, not their hero, trying to tell them why you're the best.
  4. Social Proof: Prove why it works. Case studies of successful projects, testimonials from previous clients, and results.
  5. Call To Action(CTA): Tell them exactly what to do next. ONE clear thing. A confused customer won't do anything. Make it as simple as possible for them to follow the next step.

This framework turns your videos from content into a measurable business system that actually performs.

Each part of the video is its own module. That means if your hook isn't performing, we can just swap the hook instead of trying to make a whole new video. If your CTA isn't converting, we can test the CTA. You don't have to reshoot anything, and it's just a quick re-edit for us.

One shoot. 20+ videos. Maximum ROI.

We spent year focused on the wrong types of videos, but since implementing this method, our clients have gotten more content, found more uses for that content, and ultimately found an easier path to results (like selling $400k luxury suites).
